Indus Industrial Group supplies heavy-duty Handheld Industrial Geomembrane Extrusion Welding Guns engineered for detail welding, patch repairs, pipe penetration boots, sump basins, and T-joint seams on HDPE, PP, and PVDF liner installations across Iraq. Operating strictly to DVS 2207-4 and DVS 2209 standards, these professional extrusion welders combine a brushless preheat air blower, high-output plasticizing screw extruder, dual digital temperature controllers, and interchangeable PTFE welding shoes for 4mm and 5mm welding rod.

HDPE pipe boot penetrations through pond liners, geomembrane anchor trench detailing, patch repair of accidental puncture holes, and sump pit welding in Basra, Baghdad, Erbil, Wasit, and Maysan.
While automated hot wedge welders handle long straight seam runs, every geomembrane containment project features complex geometry that cannot be welded by tractor machines: circular pipe penetrations, concrete anchor trenches, pump sump basins, corner patches, and T-junction intersections. Indus Handheld Extrusion Welding Guns provide the essential field tool to ensure 100% containment integrity across all detail areas.
The tool operates on a dual heating principle: an integrated 2100W–2300W hot air blower pre-heats the parent geomembrane sheet to its plastic state, while an independent internal barrel heater melts 4mm or 5mm HDPE welding rod into a continuous molten extrudate bead. As the operator guides the tool, a contoured PTFE (Teflon) welding shoe compresses and shapes the molten plastic over the preheated joint, achieving complete molecular fusion with joint shear strength matching or exceeding the parent liner.
Equipped with independent digital temperature displays for both preheat air and plast mass, the machine allows operators to dial in exact thermal parameters required for Iraqi summer and winter ambient conditions. Cold-start motor protection prevents screw rotation until the barrel reaches operating temperature, protecting gears from damage. Staged with companion grinder tools, welding rods, and angled Teflon shoes at Indus Erbil and Basra centers.
A prefabricated HDPE cylindrical pipe sleeve ("pipe boot") is fitted over the penetrating pipe. The skirt flange of the boot is overlapped onto the floor liner, preheated, and welded around its entire circumference using the extrusion welding gun, creating a 100% leak-proof hermetic seal.
According to DVS 2207-4, the surface oxidation layer and wax bloom on the polyethylene sheet must be mechanically buffed off using an angle grinder (80-grit disc) immediately prior to welding to ensure true molecular fusion.
Extrusion welds are tested non-destructively using a vacuum box test unit (applying -0.2 to -0.3 Bar vacuum over soapy solution) or high-voltage spark testing (holiday detector) to immediately detect any micro-pinholes.
